Last fall we paid a visit to
Hobie’s Stand Up Paddle division. Lead shaper and craftsman, Mark Johnson was a great host. He gave us a full tour of the
Hobie shaping bays, and also talked with us about the latest and greatest that
Hobie has to offer. He even gave us a few sneak peaks at some new technology.
After our tour, Mark took us to Dana Point’s Baby Beach to try out the new
12’6” and 14’ race boards. It was our first chance to look at the new carbon fiber blend called PCX. The boards are beautiful. In this video clip Mark talks about the
