Have you been wondering about the new yoga and Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) combo trend that seems to be sweeping the nation? Join us for this 2-hour workshop and try your hand (and your core) at Stand-up Paddleboarding and Yoga! We warm up our core and engage our balancing abilities each morning in our land-based, outdoor yoga practice and then venture out into the (hopefully) calm waters of Lac Labelle in Oconomowoc.
Once aboard our SUPs we will learn proper SUP techniques such as paddle stroke and turning techniques. We will also challenge our balance, core and strength with some fitness moves and some very basic yoga postures. We will end our session with relaxation on the board and a slow meditative paddle to shore. It shall be a glorious time and is open to all levels and yoga/SUP experiences!
What to expect:
All SUP equipment is provided: board, paddle and life vest. You will need to bring a yoga mat or beach towel.
30-minute on land yoga class to warm up
60-minute SUP session (life jackets are required!!!)
15-minute relaxation and meditative paddle to shore
15-minute equipment care
What to bring:
Your yoga mat (A beach towel will do!)
A willingness to get wet
Your coffee mug!
Please arrive 15-20 minutes prior to class to get your gear and paddle ready. Yoga beings PROMPTLY at workshop start time.
