The rise of stand up paddling definitely owes some gratitude to Laird Hamilton. It also might owe a little something to this board. It will go down in history as a classic at the forefront of the SUP movement. The Surftech Laird 12'1" was shaped by the legendary Ron House. Ron's vision towards the future of SUP is why this board is still is a top seller. With new shapes emerging almost daily, this board has stood the test of time. Still a favorite stand by in many quivers, the Laird is wide, floaty and stable. It is a great board for a beginner looking to play in the waves or to go for a nice flatwater paddle. It's buoancy can handle larger paddlers or a paddler/child, paddler/pet combo. A great all-rounder.
