Paddleboard Specialists "Paddle for the Polar Bears" family event details:

Wingra Park on Lake Wingra in Madison, Wi.
To insure your spot we recommend that you pre-register. Minimum age for kids is 11 years old. Younger kids may be able to ride on the front of a board with our staff or with their parents after Mom and/or Dad learn.

Our instructors are seasoned stand up paddlers and will have you paddling comfortably within the first 10 minutes.

The 1 hour course will teach you:
a. Finding the sweet spot for balance and comfort
b. Paddling technique
c. Basic turning technique

Participants can also help support the Henry Vilas Zoo by renting any boat from Wingra Boats during Paddle for the Polar Bears $2 per boat rental will be donated to the zoo. Wingra Boats is located adjacent to the event site.

Paddle for the Polar Bears raises funds for Madison, Wisconsin's Henry Vilas Zoo. 50% of all proceeds will be donated toward building The Arctic Passage, a state of the art new home for polar bears and seals. The Zoo is a free and highly educational resource for Madison visitors and residents of all ages.
